The Lindenwood Homeowner's Association Annual Meeting was held on April 26, 2011.  The meeting minutes are available for download on the right side of this page.  The file name is "lha_annual_meeting_minutes_4_26_11_3.docx".

July 1: Annual dues bill goes out to all Lindenwood homeowners from treasurer by U.S. mail asking for payment by August 1st
Aug 1:  Due date for the payment.
Aug 15:Reminder notice goes out by e-mail to those who have not yet paid the August 1st bill; if we do not have your email address, the reminder notice will be sent by U.S. mail to your home
Sep 1:  Bill is now considered overdue
Sep 15: Notice goes out to homeowner regarding lien placement on property unless dues are paid within one week
Sep 22:  Lien placed on your home for dues non-payment by Lindenwood Homeowner’s Association
* Note:  $25 late fee has been completely deleted from our new policy

In years past, the treasurer has collected dues up through Spring of the following year; the board finds this unacceptable given the monthly bills we have to pay.
The board of directors developed this collection policy at our September 2008 board meeting. The goal of the policy is to clarify the collection process for homeowners, expedite the dues collection from the neighborhood, and to alleviate the burden from our treasurer.
As you can imagine, collecting dues from 103 homeowners is a labor intensive and time consuming task. Board members volunteer their time to help make the neighborhood a better place, and do not want to become a collection agency to Lindenwood homeowners. It is very awkward for board members to have to repeatedly call neighbors for their funds, and/or send notes to obtain the overdue funds. Please note our policy with deadlines.
